Anjali Chand, MD is a member of Summit Health's Family Medicine team. Dr. Chand provides primary care to adolescent and adult patients, drawing from family medicine practice experience with patients of all ages.Dr. Chand has experience in womens health, including providing pap smears and contraceptive counseling, and she has an interest in integrative medicine. Her experience also includes global health outreach in Ghana, where she helped implement a womens health program, and in Dominica, where she directed pediatric health fairs that served more than 500 children.With an emphasis on preventive medicine and encouraging healthy lifestyles, Dr. Chand takes pride in getting to know her patients and their families, understanding and responding to their needs, and celebrating their milestones along the way. Forming trusting, long-lasting relationships is what she enjoys most. I pursued a career in health care because I didnt just want to be a doctor; I wanted to be somebodys doctor, she said.In her free time, Dr. Chand enjoys cooking, traveling, and learning how to ski.

Ms. Gussoni sees adults for everything from routine physical exams focusing on preventative medicine to routine follow-up for chronic conditions as well as Medicare annual wellness exams.Ms. Gussoni enjoys a comprehensive approach to care, working hand in hand with the patient as a team to manage their medical conditions, assist with lifestyle modifications, and coach them through complex disease processes incorporating medical management. Her goal is to provide patients with clear, evidence-based information so they can make an informed decision. This means creating a plan with the patient that they agree with, are comfortable with, and think they can follow. After beginning her career as an emergency room nurse in the fast-paced environment of an ER trauma center, Ms. Gussoni decided to change pace and became a nurse practitioner. "I enjoyed getting to know my patients on a personal level, thus leading me into outpatient internal medicine," Ms. Gussoni says.Nothing is more satisfying than having a patient come back in for a follow-up appointment and witnessing the excitement on their face as they share the success they've made since their last visit, whether it be an improvement in their blood sugar or blood pressure levels, losing 10 pounds, or their newfound commitment to exercising on a routine basis, Ms. Gussoni says.When she's not working, Ms. Gussoni likes to spend time with her husband and their two Jack Russell dogs. She also enjoys exploring new towns, cooking, riding her bicycle, and reading.
