The American Karachay Kavkaz Benevolent Association (AKBA) was established on November 27, 1989, to preserve and promote the religion, language, customs, history, folk dances, and folk music of the Karachay culture in the United States. As a federally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, AKBA aims to strengthen the cooperative ties among the Karachay and Kavkaz communities through various events and activities.

Located in Paterson, New Jersey, AKBA manages a community center that includes a cafeteria, banquet hall, and a dedicated space for the Elbrus USA Dance Ensemble, which will return to the stage in May 2025. The organization welcomes individuals from various Caucasus and Turkic backgrounds who share a passion for dance and tradition, fostering an inclusive environment for cultural exchange.
