A native of Basking Ridge, Dr. Alexander Christou is a board certified family physician who has been in private practice since 2007 with offices in both Morristown and Bernardsville.He is a 2004 graduate of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (Philadelphia, PA) and, he completed his internship and a residency in Family Practice at Somerset Medical Center (Somerville, NJ) in 2007. Prior to attending medical school, he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Villanova University (Villanova, PA) in 1993. He is also a former research assistant with MCP/Hahnemann University and the Wistar Institute (Philadelphia, PA), where he focused on tumor immunology and cancer vaccine development, and co-authored articles in peer-reviewed medical journals.Dr. Christou is an affiliate of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the NJ Academy of Family Physicians and the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians. He is a member of the medical staff at Morristown Medical Center and formerly served as Treasurer of the Department of Family Medicine. He also served as a team doctor for Bernards High School sports teams from 2007-2012.An avid sports enthusiast, he enjoys following the Giants, Yankees, and above all, his beloved Villanova Wildcats.

"I enjoyed getting to know my patients on a personal level, thus leading me into outpatient internal medicine," Ms. Gussoni says.Nothing is more satisfying than having a patient come back in for a follow-up appointment and witnessing the excitement on their face as they share the success they've made since their last visit, whether it be an improvement in their blood sugar or blood pressure levels, losing 10 pounds, or their newfound commitment to exercising on a routine basis, Ms. Gussoni says.When she's not working, Ms. Gussoni likes to spend time with her husband and their two Jack Russell dogs. She also enjoys exploring new towns, cooking, riding her bicycle, and reading.
