History

Abilities of Northwest Jersey, was incorporated in the State of New Jersey in 1974. At that time, a single vocational rehabilitation center was available to 25 disabled adults. Today, Abilities is the only vocational rehabilitation program in Warren County, currently operating 6 employment centers, serving 350 individuals on a daily basis, and has been instrumental in assisting over 500 disabled persons in securing community employment. Abilities is one of the most respected community rehabilitation programs for people with disabilities in the State of New Jersey, receiving numerous awards as an organization for demonstrating extraordinary services to the disabled community.

Specialties

As a non-profit agency, Abilities assist disabled persons to become productive members of the community through supervised work experiences and vocational rehabilitation services. Abilities of Northwest Jersey, Inc. offers a full array of habilitation, pre-vocational, vocational rehabilitation, supported employment and job placement services. Program options include center-based and community based services
