I love bonding with families and patients of all age groups and gender identities. That diversity of patients and their care needs is why I chose family medicine! It gives me the unique opportunity to become an ally in each individual’s wellness journey. A person’s health is influenced by their community and those that surround them. That is why my allyship also extends to the family as a whole. Helping them create sustainable plans and watching them meet their goals over time is a joy. As a local who is raising her two young children in the Upper Valley, I know and love this community. Familiarity with the resources available to families makes my work especially beneficial and fulfilling.

I pursue providing the highest quality care in a friendly, professional clinic. My experiences in global health, US military service, and in clinical care have taught me the value of providing patients with evidence-based management options that best fit patients’ overall needs. This includes striving for clear, detailed, patient friendly information about a patient’s disease and the risks and benefits of treatment options so the patient and I can come to the best management plan at each stage of their disease. I practice General Dermatology, including skin cancer, acne, allergic contact dermatitis, hidradenitis suppurativa, psoriasis and eczema, as well as treatment of skin cancer and removal of “lumps and bumps”. In addition, I coordinate clinical trials for our section, working with our providers to bring cutting-edge treatments to our community for such diseases as psoriasis and atopic dermatitis. My areas of non-pharmacological research interest include infectious diseases and epidemiology of skin diseases. I am an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology and, most recently, the American Contact Dermatitis Society.

For me, one of the most rewarding aspects of health care is simply having patients wanting you to spend time with them. I want people to feel comfortable as we talk about their ongoing care. A successful outcome is when a patient feels they are an equal part of their care plan and aware of up-to-date preventative care and treatment plans. I entered medicine after starting in medical administration. Working more closely with patients is more fulfilling for me. Once I had that feeling of seeing someone happy and improving, there was no going back to administration. I grew up in southern Vermont and New Hampshire. I enjoy the local food scene in Lebanon, and hiking, skiing, and snowboarding with my family.
