Built in 1995, at the cost of $30 million, the Whittemore Center Arena in Durham accommodates more than 6,000 for athletic games and up to 7,500 for concerts. The arena is home to the University of New Hampshire men's hockey team, perennial contenders for the national college championship, and features performers such as Bob Dylan, Matchbox 20, Jewel, Willie Nelson, the Black Crowes and the Dave Matthews Band.

Lake Whitt is pretty nice. In a huge, generic kind of way. Still, good sight lines, lighting, concessions, and the open concourse make it a solid college hockey rink.
