I worked as a bedside nurse before becoming a nurse practitioner, so I explain procedures so my patient knows what to expect. Then they are more at ease and less intimidated about a procedure.

Caring for cardiac patients is a wonderful and fascinating endeavor. Understanding the science and physics behind how the heart works, combined with the knowledge of how to use these principles to help return the cardiac patient back to the best functional status possible is very rewarding. I enjoy hearing each patient’s story and using that information to help offer the best possible care for their individual situation.
