History

Our business began on the heels of the first major energy crisis. With such a large amount of energy needed for heating in the Northeast, and so many relying on foreign sources of fuel, it was clear to us that domestic alternatives were needed. Stove manufacturers were making impressive efficiency improvements, while solar and wind energy technology was still maturing. Today, decades later, we have a larger selection of stoves than ever. We encourage our customers to embrace renewable energy sources like wood and pellet, while still offering convenient high-efficiency natural gas and propane models where those are more practical.
