HistoryOur History Peabody Supply's proud tradition of providing unsurpassed customer service began in 1947 when the children of Greek immigrants (George and Jim Velonis with sister Jessie Maharis) began working in a hardware store in Peabody MA. With hard work they purchased the B. S. Hardware Store in 1950 and quickly transformed the company into a wholesale plumbing and heating distributorship doing business as Peabody Supply. In the late 1960's combining foresight and a timely meeting with Michael Kohler of the Kohler Company the Velonis family built a 14,000 square foot building in the Pulaski Street Industrial Park. With the advent of this new location and the awarding of a Kohler Distributorship, the company grew to become a leading distributor of plumbing and heating products on the North Shore of Massachusetts. Today this building still serves as the corporate headquarters. During the tough economic times of the early 1990's Peabody continued its mission to hire outstandingSpecialtiesPeabody Supply has grown into a premier regional wholesale distributor of plumbing, heating and PVF products for both contractors and consumers.
