Rochester Fire Department provides fire prevention, rescue and public assistance services. The department has been operational for more than 100 years. It organizes variety of programs and services, which include fire safety inspections and awareness programs in schools throughout North Hampshire. It also provides emergency medical services to the community. The department has more than four fire engines in its fleet. It also has aerial ladders, tankers and forestry units for providing various emergency and rescue services.
