BDCC is one of 12 Vermont Regional Development Corporations ( RDCs ). We serve the following towns in Southeastern Vermont: Athens, Bellows Falls, Brattleboro, Brookline, Dover, Dummerston, Grafton, Guilford, Halifax, Jamaica, Londonderry, Marlboro, Newfane, Putney, Readsboro, Rockingham, Searsburg, Somerset, Stratton, Townshend, Vernon, Wardsboro, Westminster, Weston, Whitingham, Wilmington and Windham. Among BDCC's many accomplishments over the years is the launch of what is Vermont's first-ever Business Plan Competition, an annual event that began in 2006. This was the first property owned by BDCC. Since then, BDCC has purchased and redeveloped two distressed properties in Brattleboro--the Cotton Mill and the Book Press, both of which are now popular and successful incubator spaces providing support for many local businesses.
