As a cardiac electrophysiologist, I combine my love for medicine and engineering to offer my patients innovative treatments for managing cardiac arrhythmias. I use the best and most effective methods while giving my patients access to the latest technologies and research. Treatment options include complex ablation, device implantation, medications, and lifestyle intervention. The best part of my job as an electrophysiologist is getting to know my patients. As we get to know each other, we build trust and choose the best treatment for them. It is a privilege to help my patients live active and fulfilling lives.

My goal is to give my patients the best medical care available to help them recover from stroke and prevent future recurrences. I offer guidance on lifestyle modifications and risk factor management with a focus on wellness. If necessary, I connect them with other experts in the field to help manage complex conditions. My goal is to give my patients the information and the knowledge they need to make the best decisions for themselves about their health and wellness. Stroke is a condition that afflicts an individual but affects the whole family. As part of our care, our team assesses for caregiver strain, family stress and other factors that affect family dynamics and social support. Stroke is a leading cause of death and disability in the United States and worldwide. Working in this field gives me an opportunity to address one of the leading health concerns in our community and a chance to make a difference every day. It’s gratifying to seeing patients that I took care of in the emergency room—when they were at their worst level of debilitation—walk into the clinic months later, having made an outstanding recovery. Being part of the stroke survivor’s journey and helping people achieve happy, healthy fulfilling lives is most rewarding.

Epilepsy is a disease that takes away a person’s control. My goal is to help my patients take back control of their lives and resume doing the things that are important to them. While I can’t always guarantee that my patients will be seizure-free, I will help them get their seizures under control, minimize side effects, and help them improve their overall quality of life. I’m very honest with my patients and carefully explain what’s happening to them and why it’s happening so that they can understand their condition. I help them understand that epilepsy is much more than just seizures. It can affect many things, including a person’s mood and memory. Epilepsy patients also have an increased risk of depression and anxiety. We talk about all of the issues surrounding their condition, so that we can plan a personalized, well-rounded course of care. I find it very rewarding to know I made a real difference in someone’s life. That’s a huge part of why I entered this field.
