I bring those two interests together by applying my medical knowledge, clinical research, and evolving public health information to serve my patients. I empower those patients to make healthcare decisions with confidence. Their wants and needs matter. By discussing each individual’s lifestyle and goals, together, we can create a research-based care plan that helps them achieve a healthier life. When we can collaborate to manage or avoid illness, I'm happy.

I believe in patients being involved with their care. Health is a key factor to a happy life, and my goal is to help my patients understand and handle their conditions. Endocrinology deals with many chronic illnesses, which have a significant impact on everyday life and the quality of well-being. I want my patients to know I am there for them and that they can be comfortable talking to me, even when they have not been able to follow all of my recommendations. I want to help people learn how to care for themselves and feel good about coping with their conditions. If I can do that, it gives me a satisfaction I feel every day.
