I pursue providing the highest quality care in a friendly, professional clinic. My experiences in global health, US military service, and in clinical care have taught me the value of providing patients with evidence-based management options that best fit patients’ overall needs. This includes striving for clear, detailed, patient friendly information about a patient’s disease and the risks and benefits of treatment options so the patient and I can come to the best management plan at each stage of their disease. I practice General Dermatology, including skin cancer, acne, allergic contact dermatitis, hidradenitis suppurativa, psoriasis and eczema, as well as treatment of skin cancer and removal of “lumps and bumps”. In addition, I coordinate clinical trials for our section, working with our providers to bring cutting-edge treatments to our community for such diseases as psoriasis and atopic dermatitis. My areas of non-pharmacological research interest include infectious diseases and epidemiology of skin diseases. I am an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology and, most recently, the American Contact Dermatitis Society.

At any age, glowing, healthy skin contributes meaningfully to a person’s overall well-being. My philosophy of care focuses on promoting, developing, and maintaining skin health for all of my patients. As both a cosmetic and medical dermatologist, I approach skin disease and skin performance with the goal of maximizing health potential, rather than just controlling disease. My expertise in the use of lasers, fillers, neurotoxins, cosmeceuticals, and other skin rejuvenating procedures allows me to address problem areas while safeguarding healthy skin. I also educate patients on skin fitness to help them control the day-to-day look, feel, and function of their skin. When patients are knowledgeable and empowered in the care of their skin, the doctor-patient partnership can achieve excellent results. Cosmetic services offered Skin care advice: What you do every day at home will determine your “skin fitness.” I help you establish a routine that will work. Laser rejuvenation: High tech laser options broaden and strengthen our treatment of various signs of skin damage and aging including wrinkles, scars, brown spots, blood vessels and redness. Laser hair removal: Comfortable, effective and efficient treatment of unwanted hair is liberating. Coolsculpting: A non-invasive body slimming procedure for “trouble areas” that can be unresponsive to diet and exercise. Kybella: This FDA approved injectable and permanent treatment for submental fullness (double chin) has tremendous impact on the image and energy a person projects. Neurotoxins: “Good Botox” helps patients look more rested and “naturally” attractive by decreasing reliance on makeup and softening lines that are associated with anger, stress and fatigue. Fillers: Judicious, tasteful use of injections can give an amazing boost to damaged skin and/or an aging face.
