My passion is working closely with patients of all ages on diabetes management and education. I enjoy teaching and using the most up-to-date diabetes technology and tools to enhance the care I provide and to improve my patients' quality of life. I work side-by-side with patients to help them make decisions about their health care. I help them them feel empowered and comfortable with their management plan.

Neurology is a large, challenging field that is continually evolving. Working in this field allows me to draw on my life-long interest in science, while also giving me an opportunity to build strong relationships with patients. A vital part of building those relationships is having caring, open conversations with my patients. I listen to their concerns, questions and needs, and I help educate them about their medical condition. These conversations help us develop a close relationship where my patients can feel at ease confiding in me. By working closely with my patients, I can help them make more informed decisions about their medical care and help them do well despite difficult circumstances.

I specialize in treating heart problems that are caused by the heart’s electrical system. I have always been interested in bringing order out of chaos and the electrical system is sometimes subject to the development of chaotic rhythms. Some cardiac electrical problems are dramatic. Providing treatment in those cases can be lifesaving. Many cardiac electrical problems impair a patient’s lifestyle. In those cases, effective treatment can mean a much-improved quality of life. My goal is to use my education, training and experience to determine the most effective treatment for my patients. Working with patients to improve their quality of life so they can get back to doing more of the things that make their lives fulfilling is always rewarding.
