I love helping patients reach their health goals so they can live their best lives. I focus on preventing health issues. When a patient feels unwell, I look for what's causing the illness. My goal is to treat the causes rather than treat the symptoms. I suggest lifestyle changes before medication when possible. I make sure my patients feel heard. Together, we create a care plan they understand and feel comfortable with.

As the child of a military family, I love the variety and adventure that family medicine brings. It allows me to meet and help people of different backgrounds. Building relationships with entire families is extremely fulfilling. As a parent, I know the value of a cohesive family unit. That connectedness also helps me reach my primary goal of positively impacting my patients’ health. By listening and providing honest feedback to parents, children and grandparents, I collaborate to improve their health in sustainable ways.

I appreciate so many aspects of cancer care and women's health. My patients consistently say they feel like they are in competent and skilled hands, and that I put them at ease. The patient's goals drive a successful outcome, within the boundaries of what we can do. If a cure is not possible, I try to help my patient identify what goals they may have and balance that with what is possible. As a gynecological oncologist, I research and apply for grants to find the best solutions for my patients. My patients and their families offer perspective to my life every day. I see families rally around their mothers and wives in a way that is touching and inspiring.
