It has more than 46 million resumes on Monster, in over 25 countries. It has an established presence in the human resources community through its TMP recruitment advertising business. TMP was founded in 1967, focusing on the yellow pages market, and in 1993, entered the recruitment advertising business, through strategic acquisitions. The pursuit of new technologies led to the acquisition in 1995 of two of the earliest pioneers in the online careers space, The Monster Board, and Online Career Center. To convey its focus on maximizing the potential growth and value of Monster, TMP Worldwide was officially renamed Monster Worldwide in 2003.
