The Borges Family Sleigh & Carriage Rides have 2 locations: Stateline area & Sand Harbor State Park. Since 1967, this Tahoe family has delighted visitors from around the world with history, fun and nostalgia. Our sleigh rides are pulled by either beautiful 2000 pound Blond Belgium horses. Sleigh Rides: 10:00 AM - Sunset Weather & road conditions permitting. Your Stateline Winter Wonderland sleigh ride adventure will take you over the meadow & through the woods to views of the Lake Tahoe area. Sand Harbor's trails run along Lake Tahoe, thru towering pines and spectacular views of the Sierra Mountains. Be sure to bring your camera, because a Borges storyteller will snap a photo of you and your companions on the sleigh with breathtaking Lake Tahoe in the background. The handmade sleighs vary in size from the cozy two-seater to a festive twenty passenger sleigh. Each sleigh is equipped with warm blankets for snuggling.
