History
Symbolic Art began in 2008 headed by Dwayne, Ms. Shirley, Ms. Angelica, Vince, Al and supported early on by LVMPD, Student Safety Action Committee (SSAC), and a handful of Deans, Principals and parents. From the beginning Symbolic Art saw the need to provide after school activities in the park located between Lummis Elementary and Becker Middle School to help the youth stay active and out of trouble. The program eventually expanded into providing after school activities such as ASAP, Youth Council and Day Camps. Symbolic Art youth were awarded neighborhood grants in 2010, 2011 & 2012 to help support their community service events.

Symbolic Art specializes in providing affordable after school programming such as sports (basketball, flag football) arts & craft projects, peer-to-peer tutoring, mentoring, dance, writing, Dj'ing, seasonal camps, excursions to local events such as LaserQuest, Chuck E. Cheese and UNLV sporting events.
