Joey and Jerry Scolari are the owners of the company. The Scolari family started in the grocery business in the central coast section of California in 1947. In 1982, the Scolari family purchased the Warehouse Markets chain in Reno, Nev. In 1991 the trade name Scolari's Food & Drug Company was adopted to more accurately reflect the nature of the stores.
