Renown Pregnancy Center

Established in 1984, the Washoe Pregnancy Center is located in Reno, Nev., and offers prenatal care services to expectant mothers. It is a part of the Washoe Medical Center, which was established in 1862 as a clinic in Washoe Valley to treat the outbreak of smallpox among miners. The Washoe Medical Center is a private, nonprofit hospital that works under the Washoe Health System. The Washoe Medical Center provides occupational therapy and coronary angioplasty services and maintains a diabetes health center. It also offers assisted living, acute rehabilitation and long-term care services. The center additionally operates Washoe Cancer Services, which specializes in providing gynecologic oncology services.
