Regional Transportation Commission of Washoe County - RTC

The Regional Transportation Commission, located in Reno, Nev., is the designated metropolitan planning organization that focuses on the short and long-range transportation needs for Washoe County in Nevada. The RTC is comprised of six departments created to meet the on-going challenges of the region s transportation network. These departments are: Adminstrative services, Engineering, Finance, Marketing and Communications, Planning and Public Transportation. Its planning department conducts corridor studies, dissemination of regional transportation information, air quality analysis and development review services. The commission is also responsible for providing public transit services in Washoe County. RTC is a public agency and its meetings of advisory committees, boards and the commission are generally public sessions, with agendas and minutes openly published.
