My Virtual Physician was founded by Dr. David Howard, a Board-Certified Obstetrics/Gynecology Specialist and general practitioner. He is passionate about providing quality healthcare to his patients. He has spent much of his career as a researcher and is now eager to help his patients receive the care they need, no matter their symptoms. Our primary goal with an online doctor visit is to provide patients with a convenient way to get quality medical care. Our team is dedicated to assisting our patients with passion and care. David L. Howard, MD, Ph.D., is a board-certified OB/GYN providing progressive health care at his private practice in Las Vegas, Nevada. Born in Jamaica, Dr. Howard immigrated to the United States at 18. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Johns Hopkins University and his Doctor of Philosophy in Epidemiology at Johns Hopkins School of Public Health in Baltimore, Maryland. After earning his Ph.D., Dr. Howard completed a postdoctoral fellowship in perinatal epidemiology at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. He returned to Baltimore, graduating with his Doctor of Medicine at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. Dr. Howard completed his medical internship at New York-Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York City and his OB/GYN residency at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) in Kansas City, Missouri. Following his residency training, Dr. Howard joined the United States Air Force (USAF) on active duty. After completing his military service, Dr. Howard spent several years working as an attending physician in Las Vegas and then relocated to New Jersey to serve as an attending OB/GYN physician at the University Hospital in Newark. Dr. Howard is also an assistant professor for the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Women's Health at Rutgers New Jersey School of Medicine in Newark, New Jersey.
