Mathnasium

Mathnasium of South Reno/Diamond is a math only learning/tutoring center with individualized instruction and customized learning plans. We teach math in a way that makes sense. At Mathnasium, we utilize a time-tested approach that provides initial and ongoing assessments, personalized instruction, and guided practice to build each student's math understanding and skills. We use a combination of techniques that work with different learning styles- written, mental, verbal, visual, and tactile. Beyond helping children earn good grades and achieve top scores on standardized tests, Mathnasium cultivates an intuitive understanding of math, teaching kids to become strong problem solvers and preparing them for bright futures. Since math is a cumulative subject, it is extremely important to make sure students have mastery of prerequisite knowledge from previous grades if they are going to have success in their current grade and beyond. Wherever the child's math skills are at currently, we offer the tools to make sure his or her grades are improving. We believe the child's scholastic progress and improved attitude will be obvious to parents, but we also rely on report cards and standardized assessments to measure our success over time.
