Lone Mountain Tae Kwon Do

History

When my daughter was 5 years old I wanted to get her some self defense training just in case she needed it when she was a teenager. We trained together, along with my son, for 5 years and all earned our black belts. It was a great Family adventure. Along the way I learned that I wanted to share these skills with other people. I trained for three years to certify as an instructor and opened my own school in 1994, on Halloween Day. I still enjoy sharing my taekwondo and the many benefits of martial arts training with my students. Our school was originally in a retail space on the corner of Lone Mountain and Decatur but we grew bigger and in 2003 we bought and converted an existing house to our home of martial arts. Our school is next to the Walgreen's on the corner of Craig and Decatur. I have been teaching 6 days a week now for 20 years and i have a staff of assistants who share the journey with me. Our accent is to help people make themselves better than they were the day before.
