The UMC Primary Care Center provides clinical breast examination and screening services. Founded in 1931, its service areas include Nevada, California, Utah and Arizona. The hospital practices in the areas of emergency and internal medicine, obstetrics, gynecology, family practice, general surgery and pediatrics. The University Medical Center of Southern Nevada features the Lions Burn Care Center and operates a free-standing unit that offers physical medicine and rehabilitative services. It also administers a canine therapy program. In addition, the hospital provides services in the fields of orthopedics, pediatrics, neonatology, cardiology, neurology and oncology.
