The Humboldt Museum, located in Winnemucca, NV, showcases the rich history and cultural heritage of the region through a diverse collection of exhibits. Housed in a modern brick building that mirrors its historic predecessor, a former church, the museum features artifacts spanning from the Ice Age to vintage automobiles and elements of local art and culture.
In addition to the main building, the museum complex includes the Greinstein Building, an 1880s store, and the Richardson-Saunders House, an 1899 Eastlake style home, all contributing to the narrative of the community. The museum also offers a unique Humboldt River Viewing Plaza, which provides visitors with scenic views and interpretive panels detailing the river's historical significance.

Such a cute little musuem. I take my kids around once a year to look around at all the things, it doesn't change much, but it's worth seeing if visiting the area. I especially live the old church...
What a wonderful museum! The staff were very helpful and the museum was full of great local history. There is a main museum building and three other buildings to explore.
I liked that they let you inside the church and house dating back to early 1900's. They had a mammoth skull along with other ancient fish. They also had quite a few of first motorized automobiles
Such a beautiful place. I took my kids there and they had a great time. My daughter and I really loved the art from different schools around this town, great idea.
