Friends Reno Meeting Quaker
Reno Friends Meeting is a welcoming community for Quakers and individuals from all faith backgrounds who are drawn to the Quaker tradition of unprogrammed Silent Worship, held every Sunday morning. The community embodies Quaker values such as simplicity, nonviolence, equality, and harmony with nature, offering a range of activities including First Day School for children, spiritual discussions, potlucks, yoga classes, and a book club.
Situated near the University of Nevada Reno, the Meeting House serves as a gathering place for worship and fellowship, with some gatherings offered in a hybrid format to include those unable to attend in person. The Reno Friends community also acknowledges and honors the Great Basin Tribes, fostering reciprocal relationships with the local Indigenous peoples.
