after having my grandson at this school from kinder to 4th grade i have to change my review. it started out really good, but as time went by we realized the school was behind in a lot of things....

Cottonwood Elementary School, located in Fernley, Nev., is affiliated with the Lyon County School District. The school offers a variety of educational and cocurricular programs to students in grades kindergarten through five. Its core curriculum includes English, arts, science, social studies, mathematics and physical education. Cottonwood Elementary School also offers guidance and counseling, English as a second language, gifted and talented education, and computer and technology education programs. The school additionally offers instructional support, reading, writing, spelling, phonics and speech programs. It has a parent-teacher association that focuses on increasing awareness and participation in curriculum and policy development, by enhancing communication between home and school.
