I found myself at The California Hotel & Casino on the evening of Sep.1 due to a malfunction of our aircraft (HA 5). I hadn't stayed in this hotel since the 1980's. It hasn't changed very much....

I don't know why this hotel is called "California hotel" when EVERYTHING about it is "Hawaiian"...the staff uniform, the restaurants, the decor/aesthetic... everything. Just curious as to why this...
