She presently holds certifications from the American Board of Psychology and Neurology and the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG).Throughout her career, Dr. Zafar has been recognized for her meticulous attention to detail and medical expertise. For example, while attending the University of Missouri, she was awarded the role of Chief Resident. Since 2012, Dr. Zafar has served as a consultant psychiatrist for Desert Springs Hospital Medical Center in Las Vegas. She's also served as the director of the hospital's geropsychology unit since 2018.Dr. Zafar has also conducted vital research on the subjects of anxiety disorders and hypochondriasis, in addition to gambling and compulsive disorders.
