In 1952, the Community Memorial Hospital ( CMH ) District was formed. It is governed by five elected board members serving four year terms. The hospital is a district hospital per the Nebraska Local Hospital District Act. Our main campus, located in Syracuse, Nebraska, includes Community Memorial Hospital, an 18 bed Critical Access Hospital that offers a wide variety of hospital services for your Health and Wellness needs. In addition to CMH, this campus consists of Syracuse Medical Center, Home Health, and a 6, 000+ sq ft. public Fitness Center. Our second location in Syracuse is our Auxiliary Thrift Store. Opening in December 2007, CMH Auxiliary volunteers run the Auxiliary Thrift Store. The Syracuse Medical Center, a family practice clinic, has been operated by CMH since 1998, and in 2006 moved into their new location attached to the north side of the hospital. In December of 2008, CMH expanded its area of service with opening our third location at Weeping Water Medical Center, also a family practice clinic.
