The Papillion Area Historical Society is a dedicated volunteer organization focused on the historic research, education, and preservation of the Papillion community and its surrounding areas. They own and maintain two significant historic buildings: the circa 1860 John Sautter German farmhouse and the 1890 Portal one-room schoolhouse, both of which have been restored after being relocated from their original sites.
