The American Legion Department of Nebraska is a prominent veteran's organization with over 22,000 members and more than 350 posts across the state. Founded in the wake of World War I, the organization emphasizes its commitment to the four pillars of Americanism, Children and Youth, National Security, and Veterans Affairs and Rehabilitation.
