Lincoln Water Systems

Lincoln Water System provides various services, including water treatment and water distribution system improvement in the city of Lincoln, Neb. The department conducts various analyses, including extended period simulation, chlorine residual tests, transmission and distribution, and vulnerability analyses. Lincoln Water System formulates facilities master plan to serve the city. The plan runs a review on existing water replacement program to allocate main replacement funds commensurate with deterioration of the infrastructure occurring within the system. It runs a regulatory evaluation of existing treatment facilities, and provides various treatments, such as disinfectants and disinfection byproducts. The water treatment also includes cryptosporidium inactivation and removal, arsenic, ozone system improvements, and short- and long-term improvements.
