Growing up, Dr. Katherine Penny's best friend's Dad was a pediatrician. He encouraged her to volunteer at the hospitals when she was in high school, where she had the opportunity to watch doctors and nurses care for babies. "I knew I wanted to do the same thing," said Dr. Penny. "Children have such joy and energy that it makes it fun to come to work every day," she said. "I think it is an honor and a privilege to be here at Boys Town Pediatrics and to be trusted with the care of the patients.

Dr. Nathan Asher is committed to providing the best quality care and service for his patients and their families. The best part of being a pediatrician is visiting the families at the hospital when the baby is born and sharing in all that excitement, said Dr. Asher. My goal is to get parents actively involved in their childs healthcare from the start. This includes everything from general growth and development to individual diagnosis and treatment. I always want parents to feel that they are part of the overall plan.

Dr. Gregory Penny joined Boys Town Pediatrics in 1997. "I had a wonderful pediatrician growing up who really inspired me, and I have always had a love of kids and a love of the science of medicine," said Dr. Penny. "I consider my role to be like a tour guide. I think having a child is the beginning of a life-long journey. It's a journey most people only take a few times in their lives and my job is to guide them through that, helping families avoid the pitfalls and just have fun along the way.
