We have hundreds of examples of tattoos from each artist to highlight each their personal style. We use powerful images from the east and west, combining classic with the unusual, the modern with the primitive. Our flash books' are actually all original drawings from the artists at Iron Brush. We have a huge selection of original hand painted flash also done by the artist at Iron Brush. We strive to bring out the true beauty of all the relevant styles of tattooing. For some, the classic tattoos symbolize lost images from a simpler time, when tattoos where raw, cutting edge, visceral messages of who you are. And for others they are a nod to the giants of the tattoo world, the artisans who understood the power of symbols and built tattoos to last a lifetime. Or possibly they are an amulet of something stronger inside of the wearer. The traditional Japanese and the new East meets West' has a subtle beauty of making the very complex into something with simplicity and grace. Iron Brush was open in January 2002, in the same place it is today. Making its mark in Midwest tattoo scene, we feature a crew of artist hand picked for their dedication and desire for tattooing. Iron Brush continues to push the standards for excellence and quality tattooing that we are known for. We continually expand our reference library and resources, as well as travel to other shops, and work conventions to continually push the envelope what is possible and bring some of the best tattooing to the Midwest.
