ESU 6, also known as Educational Service Unit 6 was formed by the Nebraska Legislature in 1966 to provide specialized services to schools improving students learning opportunities. The agency serves more than 12,000 students in over 15 public school districts in Seward, Saline, York, Fillmore and Lancaster counties in Nebraska. It assists the Nebraska Department of Education in addressing state and federal initiatives, as well as providing requested services from schools. ESU 6 specializes in a SUCCESS program, which serves students with disabilities between the ages of 4 and 21.
