Established in 1892, Lutheran Family Services of Nebraska is a faith-based, nonprofit human care organization. It offers community-based services for individuals and families throughout Nebraska. The organization provides behavioral health services that include training in communication skills, relaxation techniques, and stress and anger management. Additionally, Lutheran Family Services of Nebraska maintains Josiah Place, which provides housing opportunities for individuals with mental disabilities. It offers medication management, vocational support, daily living assistance and crisis intervention services. The organization also offers pregnancy counseling and adoption services. Lutheran Family Services of Nebraska assists immigrants with petitions, citizenship applications and travel documents. It also provides disaster response, as well as employment services.
