The Council of Independent Nebraska Colleges Foundation represents Nebraska's leading independent colleges and universities, focusing on raising funds and awareness about their economic and personal impact on the state and its students. With a commitment to supporting its 13 member institutions, the foundation promotes the high quality and affordability of education to prospective students and their families.

Each year, the member institutions award 40 percent of Nebraska's bachelor's degrees and educate nearly 38,000 students, significantly contributing to the state's workforce, particularly in health sciences. The foundation also commissioned an independent economic impact study to document the collective influence of its member institutions on the local economy.
