Located in Lincoln, Neb., the Child Guidance Center is a private, nonprofit agency that provides mental health services to children, adolescents and their families. Founded in 1949, the center employs a team of mental health professionals who have expertise in the areas of psychiatry, psychology and social work. It also offers family, art and play therapy, as well as counseling services. The center provides treatment to children and youths between the ages of 1 and 19. It is accredited by The Joint Commission. The Child Guidance Center is affiliated with Region V Systems, Lincoln Public Schools and Lancaster County Youth Services Center.

Established in 1947, Cedars Youth Services is one of the largest child care organizations in Nebraska. It helps children who have been abused and neglected and are homeless in achieving safety, stability and enduring family relationships. The organization offers various services, including emergency shelters and residential care, residential mental health treatment, foster care, family preservation, counseling, juvenile justice, early childhood development and school age programs, and rural services. The organization is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children and the Council on Accreditation. It was awarded the Better Business Bureau integrity award in the nonprofit category in 2005. Cedars Youth Services is headquartered in Lincoln, Neb.
