Burke High School

Burke High School provides academic programs with emphasis on the development of basic learning and thinking skills. It serves more than 2,000 students in grades 9 through 12. The school s academic curriculum includes classes in science, English, mathematics, physical education, social studies, and information and industrial technology. Burke High School has a swimming pool and football stadium. The school administers the English as a Second Language program. It offers sports activities, including basketball, football, cross-country, softball, swimming, soccer, volleyball, wrestling, tennis, and track and field. Burke High School maintains a library that provides a variety of educational resources. The school supports the National Honor Society. It has drama, chess, math, science and comedy clubs. Burke High School is governed by Omaha Public Schools, which additionally manages several elementary, middle and high schools.
