Brownell Talbot School, established in 1863, provides educational opportunities to students from preschool through twelfth grade. It is Nebraska s only private, independent, co-educational, college preparatory day school. Brownell Talbot provides a program of inter-scholastic athletics for all of its students. The school curriculum includes subjects such as English, journalism, fine arts, foreign languages, history, mathematics, computer science, physical education, science and college counseling. The various extra-curricular activities offered by Brownell include chess club, mock trial, national honor society, music, speech and math team. Brownell Talbot School is accredited by the Nebraska Department of Education, the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools and the Independent Schools Association of the Central States. It is located in Omaha, Neb.
