Located in Omaha, Neb., Community Alliance is a private, nonprofit organization that provides a system of personal and community-based rehabilitation and support services to assist individuals recovering from mental illnesses. Founded in 1981, it provides day rehabilitation services that includes a weekday program offering a wide variety of educational and experimental learning activities that focus on relearning the responsible performance of everyday tasks, managing one's illness and planned re-entry into work and community life. Its residential rehabilitation services include supervised group living in a residential community for individuals who are learning to manage their illness and preparing to live more independently.
