The El Dorado County Sheriff has offices in Placerville, the county seat, as well as El Dorado Hills, Pollock Pines and South Lake Tahoe, Calif. Its divisions include administrative, custody, investigative, patrol and support. The El Dorado County Sheriff s services include coroner, crime statistic reporting, fingerprinting, property retrieval, vehicle abatement, and search and rescue duties. It also operates two county jails in Placerville and South Lake Tahoe, respectively.
