The Washoe Theatre, established in 1931 and opened on September 24, 1936, is a historical gem in Anaconda, Montana, and the last theater built in the Art Deco style. Owned by the Washoe Amusement Company, it has been serving the community for over 85 years and continues to showcase films both classic and contemporary.
Originally the site of the Margret Theatre, which dates back to 1897, the Washoe Theatre underwent several transformations before settling into its current iteration. The theater embraced modern enhancements, including a digital film projector upgrade in 2013, expanding its offerings to include 3D movies.
