The Bookstore at The University

The Bookstore at The University of Montana was originally incorporated in 1921 as the Associated Students' Store ; the name was changed to the UC Bookstore in 1985 and to The Bookstore at The University of Montana in 1996.In addition to the University Center location, The Bookstore operates The Market in the UC. In 2007, The Bookstore purchased Fact & Fiction, an independent bookseller that is a Missoula institution. In 2008, The Bookstore began operating The Bookstore at College of Technology, extending services to the University's COT students.The Bookstore is a "not-for-profit" organization and receives neither tax dollars nor student fees. In other words, The Bookstore must be a self-sustaining enterprise with enough resources to meet the needs of an ever-changing educational environment. It is governed by a board of directors made up of students and faculty of University of Montana.The Bookstore at The University of Montana is a local bookstore serving the students, faculty and staff of University of Montana. Our primary goal is to ensure students are able to obtain the course materials they need at reasonable prices. We also provide many other items to support your academic career and school spirit.
