Pork Chop John s serves the original pork chop sandwich, which was founded in Butte, Mont., in 1924. The original Pork Chop John, John Burklund, sold his pork chop sandwiches from the back of a wagon located on the corner of Mercury and Main Streets. As demand for the unique sandwich increased, John opened a restaurant in 1932, which consisted of a counter, 10 stools and a walk-up window. Still known as Pork Chop John s, that same store remains the restaurant s flagship retail location and home office. There are two additional locations in Butte and Bozeman, Mont. In addition to pork chop sandwiches, Pork Chop John s also serves hamburgers, hot dogs, grilled chicken sandwiches and fries.

Friendly staff, very yummy tasty sandwiches. We enjoyed the pork chop sandwiches so well that we went back through the drive through before closing to purchase another couple sandwiches....
