Madison Valley Ranch is located in Ennis, Montana. Just a 1-hour drive from the Bozeman Airport makes it a convenient travel destination from all major cities in the US. While it's relatively easy to get to, you'll feel like you've left the hustle and bustle of everyday life in dust as you descend into the rural Madison Valley. The property features high-end accommodations designed to reflect the natural landscape and lifestyle of SW Montana. With 14 rooms, each with two queen beds and a porch, the Madison Lodge, Channels Lodge and Duplex Suite can accommodate up to 28 guests. The Madison Lodge (completed July 2021), features our kitchen, dining area, bar, retail, meeting, gym, living room and guest laundry areas. It also has six bedrooms with three upstairs and three downstairs. One of the downstairs rooms is ADA accessible. Not far away is the Duplex Suites, each featuring a bedroom and a living room. It's the perfect option for the whole family! Closest to the Madison River is the Channels Lodge, featuring two rooms upstairs and four rooms downstairs. Each room has access to the living room and kitchen downstairs. The building also has a large deck out front offering stunning views of the snowcapped Madison range. This is the perfect option for groups up to 12 guests seeking some privacy and exclusive use of the building. A path out the back door of the Channels Lodges leads anglers down to a world-class section of the upper Madison River known as "The Channels". This is truly a trout fisherman's paradise. In the middle of the property is our trophy trout pond, which is home to numerous trophy rainbow trout in the 20-26" range. Bordering the property is Jack Creek that will test the skill of even the most accomplished fly anglers. It's not uncommon to hook into a 16-20" brown trout on this small, technical creek. The typical day at Madison Valley Ranch starts with a gourmet buffet breakfast before meeting your fishing guide for the day. The fly fishing guides at Madison Valley Ranch are truly the best in Montana, providing informative, entertaining and safe float trips on some of the region's premier trout streams. While the upper Madison River is the most commonly fished river, the guides are well versed in other nearby fisheries such as the Beaverhead River, Big Hole River, Lower Madison River, Jefferson River and Yellowstone River. The end of a long day fishing is best reserved for soaking in the hot tub, taking a bike ride, enjoying some fine wine or local craft beer, and finishing it off with a 4-course gourmet meal.
