Beach Transportation began with a lost bid by Ray Beach in 1941 for school bus service from Lolo to Missoula, Mont. Although he lost the bid, when the winner was unable to fulfill the obligation, Beach s offer was reconsidered and accepted. For more than 60 years, the Beach family has been involved in the school bus and charter motor coach transportation business. With more than 160 employees, the company offers group transportation services in the western Montana and Pacific Northwest areas. The charter service does accept nationwide assignments. The company s vehicles are fully licensed, insured and meet all U.S. Department of Transportation requirements. Beach Transportation s headquarters are in Missoula.
